CODE, COURAGE, AND CHANGE: FALF PIONEERS THE FUTURE OF AFRICAN TECH.
A powerful movement was ignited in Kigali, Rwanda, on March 14th, as Ambassadors Landon and Dorcus co-organized a high-impact International Women’s Day 2026 event under the theme “Break the Pattern.” The event convened leaders, innovators, and young changemakers committed to redefining possibilities for women and girls across Africa.
In partnership with the Ministry of ICT and Innovation, Rwanda, CMU-Africa, and leading tech companies, the event brought together over 200 participants from 15 countries, including women in technology, high school and university students, industry leaders, and male allies.
The program featured keynote sessions on leadership, innovation, and nurturing African talent, followed by a panel discussion with distinguished women from engineering, research, and finance who shared their journeys and insights.
Breakout sessions covered Artificial Intelligence, innovation, personal branding, and community impact, equipping participants with practical knowledge to create solutions.
A major highlight was Ambassador Landon’s session, “From Curiosity to Innovation: How You Can Contribute to Your Community with Solutions,” which inspired students to embrace purpose-driven innovation. The session recorded strong engagement, attracting participants beyond the expected audience.
The enthusiasm of participants, especially young students, was remarkable, with many expressing a strong commitment to applying what they learned to create impact in their communities.
This initiative once again reflects FALF’s commitment to raising and empowering young leaders, fostering innovation, and driving meaningful impact across Africa.
