IMAGINARIUM (CREATING SCENIC CITIES IN AFRICA)  – MADAGASCAR

Future Africa Leaders Awards nominee, Ida Razafindrakoto from Madagascar is a multidisciplinary artist, particularly passionate about the creative transformation of our environment through art. She initiated the artistic project called “Imaginarium”, which focuses on the design of a travel diary, graphic performance, drawing exhibitions, painting and workshops for young audience. This is aimed at creating a citizen and environmental awareness and beautification of public spaces. This deep call to creativity imagination has helped rediscover the urban spaces of various cities.

Imaginarium has appeared nine times in seven different countries (Madagascar, Tunisia, Nigeria, Ghana, France, Reunion and Comoros). The number of people impacted is estimated at 1500.

In order to solve the issues of valuing artistic expressions in all its forms and the representation of Madagascar in this vast multicultural market, the multiple and rich discoveries to life and deep emotions and inspirations her travel experience has generated, IDA has worked with several renowned institutions and international organizations such as the Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS), the Instituts Français de Madagascar et de Cameroon; communities and associations like Africa Youth Movement, Initiative Takalo 2015, Tantsary Association, Indian Ocean Climate Network, The Africa Movement, Sweet Art'Frika, and Buskers Magazine, not leaving out  schools.

IDA has also animated various sustainable development workshops, artistic initiatives for young audiences, comic and scenic shows. For 3 years, she has actively participated in national and international collective events such as festivals, fairs and hub sessions.
