FUTURE LEADERS SUMMIT WITH JOEL TIAGO

On the 7th of February 2017, Joel Tiago, a 2016 FALA Ambassador hosted a Future Africa Leaders Summit at his alma mater, Khomas High School in Windhoek Namibia. The meeting was streamed to Angola with several young people in participation. Present were 103 learners, teachers and all members of Learning Representative Council.

Different speakers inspired the learners on different topics. Hilder from the Namibia University of Science and Technology addressed them on career choices. She spoke on how important it is to choose the right career, thus avoiding regrets, and pains that come with studying the wrong course.

Thomas Tuhafeni also inspired them on entrepreneurship; he discussed on trademarks and business ideas. Pastor Tuhafeni Nghiumbwavali, a teens’ minister also lectured on effective time management.

A beautiful song presentation from the school choir was staged, as well as spoken words.

The convener, Joel rounded off by charging them to become their best by the application of the right knowledge. He encouraged them to give attention to education and be their best in order for them to be fully equipped with great ideas for inventions, and to get the right knowledge in achieving sustainable development in Africa. "The right information is important for you to be the best entrepreneur and solution to the world, I believe in you and I believe that you are the one  s that will come out with the solutions that will make people come to Africa instead of running from it. Africa needs you and the world needs you," he said.
